Bari is a nice small city located on the east side of Italy, it’s well known for the old city and nice food.
How to go to Bari
There’re several ways to go to Bari, basically you can use a :
- Bus
- Ferry
- Plane
We took a cruise ship from Greece to reach Bari.
Where to go in Bari
So basically, there’re two very famous places that you can’t miss in Bari
Old City – Bari Vecchia
Bari Vecchia is famous for the narrow streets, churches, cozy cafes and coffee shops, you can always eat fresh made pasta and watch people making fresh pasta as well.
You will find San Nicola church as well that you can visit and you will be amazed by the great lovely narrow streets.
Via Sparano Da Bari
Via Sparano Da Bari is a modern lovely wide street with no cars, it’s full of all famous brands and you definitely can do some good shopping in there, you will also find good restaurants as well as cafes and coffee shop with the great coffee smell in the air.
Beaches
Beaches in Bari are just great, you can go and enjoy the mediterranean clear sea water there and grab a bite of Italy’s great food.
What to eat in Bari
I think the answer to this question is kinda easy, right? you are in Italy, what are you gonna eat?
PASTA and PIZZA !!
Of course, you cannot miss eating pasta and grabbing a pizza slice from a pizzeria from the place that created this magical food.

Maybe this is not very famous, I’m not sure to be honest, but you have to try this, it’s a sandwich that has mostly mortadella/ham inside, along with cheese and sauce, it’s great and you MUST try this.

You cannot also miss a cone / cup of gelato / ice cream with every single taste that you can imagine and wish for, those tiny ice cream shops can really create happiness.
